Summer 2018 Newsletter
The GeriActors & Friends performance season highlights
We are excited to announce the GeriActors Newsletter (Summer and Winter) sharing highlights from performances, workshops, events, and more!
Well... our performance season has come and gone and it was our most successful season yet!

Thank you to everyone who invited us to perform or attended a show this year. We had the privilege of sharing our stories with many wonderful audiences and we would love to share some of the season's highlights with you - our mailing list.
Plays with Age Friendly Edmonton

In collaboration with Age Friendly Edmonton we developed 5 NEW plays that explore what it means to be a senior in Edmonton.

Our plays include: Reading the Signs (about giving up your license), Claire & Jacob (about coming out), Be Careful (about renovations and staying safe), Sanctuary (about elder abuse) and Love Me Tinder (about online dating).
Venues and Audiences

We performed 8 times between April 18 and June 14 to approximately 443 people.

We performed at the SAGE Seniors Association, Touchmark at Wedgewood, CapitalCare Strathona, Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre, Westview Continuing Care, the Good Samaritan Society Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre, Hanna, AB, and the University of Alberta.
Going the Distance

The furthest we travelled was 309km to Hanna, Alberta to perform at the Mayor's Garden Party (the roast chicken lunch was delicious).

The closest we travelled was 0km. We had the privilege of performing in our rehearsal space at the SAGE Seniors Association Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
