GeriActors Casino Fundraiser, August 1 & 2, 2026
We are looking for volunteers to help with our casino fundraiser on August 1 & 2, 2026. Proceeds from this casino will provide GeriActors much needed financial support to sustain and grow our intergenerational theatre programs.

Volunteer Roles:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for more than one shift, but must remain in the same volunteer role.
- General Manager: Responsible for the overall continuity of the casino. Some data entry experience is required.
- Banker: In control of the cash and chip inventories. This position is mostly data entry.
- Cashier: Redeems player’s chips for cash. Little data entry required.
- Chip Runner: Delivers chips from the banker to the game tables as required. Will count chips with the gaming floor staff as required. A fair amount of data entry is required.
- Count Room: Will sort and use money counting machines to count money. Some data entry required.
Available shifts:
- 9:15am-6:30pm (for daytime General Manager and Banker)
- 9:30am-6:30pm (for daytime Chip Runner)
- 9:30am-7:00pm (for daytime Cashier)
- 6:15pm-3:45am (for evening General Manager and Banker)
- 6:30pm-3:15am (for evening Cashier)
- 6:15pm-3:15am (for evening Chip Runner)
- 11:30pm-3:30am (for Count Room)
Additional Information:
- On the spot training is provided by our casino advisors.
- Food and beverages are provided to all volunteers.
- GeriActors can provide support with transportation if needed to get to and from the casino location.
