GeriActors & Friends present…
Be Careful and Now That We’re Older
Join GeriActors & Friends for our 2023 performance season. This will be our first time returning to the stage since 2019 and we are debuting our two newest plays: Be Careful and Now That We’re Older.
Be Careful
Directed by Becca Barrington
Dramaturgy by Jason Chinn
Featuring: Angela Smythe, Diane Jonsson, John Grootelaar, Margaret Rutherford, Pat Parkinson, Ranee Wickramasekera, and Shirley Rosin
Mary and her husband, Jerry, have just experienced a major setback in their retirement and they are unsure where they should go next. Join them, their loveable dog Toby, and a dynamic cast of characters as they explore the falls and fears that come with aging, and figure out how to best support each other through it all.
Now That We’re Older
Directed by David Barnet
Featuring: Bill Fradgley, Carlean Fisher, Chips Reid, Jamie MacDonald, Kerry Francis, Liz Reid, and Maria Yakula
If we forget something we simply say “senior moment,” but what does that mean? Though still in development, this new play is about the things we leave behind and (sometimes) forget, and how aging has freed us to become our truest selves.
