Acting Shakespeare: 12 – 2pm $20
Try out Juliet or Lear – it’s easier than you think! Play and have fun with the bard, with award-winning teacher David Barnet
David is the founding artistic director of GeriActors, and recently retired professor in the Department of Drama at the UofA, where he specialized in community-based theatre, and Shakespeare. He is also the founding artistic director of Catalyst Theatre, and a 3M National Teaching Fellow.
Comedy Improv: 3 – 5pm $20
Embrace spontaneity, follow your impulses, and learn the basics of improv with Rapid Fire Theatre specialist Joleen Ballendine
Joleen is the associate director of Education with Rapid Fire and is a senior player performing weekly in Theatre Sports, Maestro and Chimprov (a long form show). She is also the creator and lead instructor for the At-Risk-Youth Project, and recently started a program for kids called the Kidprovisors.
